I have lived in Harbertonford for the past 21 years and in that time have had lots of opportunities to be involved with and appreciate the many good things going on in the village. Our children grew up here and were pupils at the village school and through the years we have all benefitted from using the wide range of organisations in place for the various age groups – we’re now almost eligible for the Senior Citizens’ activities! If elected, I would work hard to help the Parish Council ensure that the many good things we have are preserved and improved upon, whilst being prepared to properly assess and be open to new proposals and ideas as they evolve. It would be important to me if I were a parish councillor that people in the village would express any viewpoints or concerns to us prior to meetings, so that the parish council can effectively respond to the needs of the community as a whole.
